Mom -2 ;Bugs -0

I am not the hugest lover of bugs,and anyone that knows me can attest to that. If I see the little spider on the wall, I will ask someone to kill it. I do not care that bugs eat other bugs and all that stuff, a bug is a bug.

There is a point to this. Last night, I was clearing some things in the kitchen when I saw a huge black spot on the wall. Looking closely, I saw that it was one of those monster centipedes that just look disgusting. I wanted to scream but seeing that Jack was asleep ,freaking out would not be a good option. Normally, I would have had Brian come over and kill it. But I saw that bug about to enter Jack's room and I got so angry. Which then made me want to laugh cause here I was,getting super angry at a bug that cannot even communicate with me. My bug fear evaporated as I took a box that was lying around there and squished the bugger. My normal fear came back as I picked up the ugliness and thought that it would spring back to life and bite me.

I went to sleep much better knowing that my son was saved from an unknown creature on his bed.

Jack has been acquiring quite the name collection;
Jacky Boy, Jackster, Jacky Butt, Baby Boy, This guy,Chompers, Baby pie and most recenty Luke Skywalker.
His hair has been growing so quickly that I have attempted to give him a hair cut. I think I do an OK job, however with his bangs and the way that I have cut his hair on the sides, Brian and I decided that he is resembling as a great Jedi.

Jack's milestones

1. When I ask him how his day was and what did he do, he laughs and giggles. He reacts like he has done something sneaky that he has done for that day. It's great to see him smile that way.

2. He walks with holding just one hand. It has taken us awhile to get to this point, with the cast and all. But he is getting a lot more confidence in his walking and not really wanting to hold unto both hands. Yesterday he was holding unto the pillow fort that his cousin Nathalie created, and he walked to me all by himself. He walked two steps all by his wonderful self. I got really excited and didn't want to scream to Brian since I would break Jack's concentration. In the end, Brian did not see. : (

3. Jack has started to go to daycare. I like to call it school since he has been learning so many new things there in the short two weeks that he has been going. He goes there every Thrusday and Friday and the expierience has been nothing but spectacular for him. There are little ones that are his age there, and his teacher is amazing. Although it was hard for me to realize that someone that you hardly know will now be taking care of your child and teaching him new lessons in life, she is great. She really does love and care for Jack and it is pretty evident when she says goodbye to him at the end of the day. We are so blessed that we have found someone so good in the short time that we were looking.

4.He has also painted his first Van Gogh. A painting of ducks in the water.
I know that Van Gogh has never painted ducks in the water, but the color scheme that Jack used resembled Van Gogh's technique. Clearly,Jack has acquired his mom's love for Van Gogh.

5. The game "Ojitos". Ojitos means little eyes in Spanish. I taught Jack that whenever he hears Ojitos, he blinks his eyes. I have seen other kids do this game, and they just blink for two seconds and call it a day. Jack leans back a bit, starts blinking but also has the most serious face while he is doing it. Then he rolls his eyes a bit and starts to laugh when he does. I think it's hilarious when he does this. Brian doesn't like it so much. He says that he freaked out when Jack did it the first time while they were having breakfast. Brian thought something was wrong. Sorry, I forgot to tell Brian that it was a game.

6. He now wakes up at 6:30 - 7. Hallelulia, or however you spell that. Brian read that if your child was waking up in the middle of the night,turning off the nightlight will be less of a distraction for him. Since Jack's room is right by the kitchen, we used to have the overhead stove light on for Jack. We turn that off now, and a miracle was born. Now Jack doesn't wake up screaming and crying and if he does wake up around 4, it has become a lot easier for him to go back down to sleep.

Let's have breakfast-or take a nap.

Brian was giving Jack his breakfast when Jack decided that it was time for a catnap.
